I'm so honored, blessed, and humbled to receive this career achievement award from the Foundation for Health Leadership and Innovation in honor of Jim Bernstein. Jim established the rural health clinics in NC. He was my friend and supporter during my tenure with the NC Office of Minority Health.

Continues serving as an author, public-health consultant, entrepreneur, and — for five years — a Professor at a local HBCU.
Breast-Cancer Diagnosis & Survivorship
Diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2015, which altered not only the course of her life, but affirmed her life's work for others.
